Who might be able to join this trial:
- People between 18 and 90 years old
- People of any gender
- People whose clinical results support a diagnosis of neurodegeneration, with no evidence of other neurological diseases
- Healthy people, or people who have been diagnosed with probable Alzheimer's disease, or dementia caused by other conditions
- People for whom a signed informed consent form has been provided — either by the person themselves, or by their legal guardian or carer
Who may not be able to join:
- People with a known allergy to [18F]NIDF or any of its ingredients
- People who are unable to provide written consent themselves and do not have a legally authorised representative available to provide consent on their behalf
- People who are unwilling or unable to have a PET scan or the associated tracer injection
- People with a condition that, in the investigator's opinion, could increase risk, affect their ability to tolerate the study procedures, or interfere with data collection or analysis — for example, kidney or liver failure, or advanced cancer (confirm with trial site)
- People who have received an experimental drug or device within the past month where the safety or effectiveness is not yet established
- People who have other serious neurological disorders, or serious conditions affecting the digestive system, heart, liver, kidneys, blood, tumours, hormones, breathing, or immune system
- People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
