Who might be able to join this trial:
- Doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff who order, carry out, or review heart ultrasound tests (called echocardiograms) and make care decisions based on the results, at a participating Mayo Clinic location
- Clinicians caring for patients aged 18 or older who are having a full heart ultrasound that is then analysed by an AI system — and where that AI analysis flags a high likelihood of one of the following heart conditions: a genetic heart muscle disease, a heart muscle disease caused by reduced blood flow, a condition called cardiac amyloidosis (where abnormal proteins build up in the heart), or a condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (where the heart muscle becomes thickened)
Who may not be able to join:
- Clinicians whose patients have had a heart ultrasound performed at a Mayo Clinic site within the past 2 years
- Clinicians caring for patients who already have a known or suspected diagnosis of the heart condition being screened for in that particular study arm
- Clinicians caring for patients who have already had specific tests related to the condition being studied — for example, prior specialised heart scans or biopsies for amyloidosis, prior heart artery testing or procedures for the ischemic arm, or a documented HCM diagnosis or prior heart procedure for the HCM arm (confirm with trial site for full details)
- Clinicians caring for patients who are currently receiving hospice care, or whose life expectancy from a non-heart-related condition is estimated at less than 1 year
- Clinicians caring for patients who have chosen to opt out of institutional or state-level research participation authorisations
