Who might be able to join this trial:
- People of any gender are welcome to participate.
- You must be between 40 and 85 years old.
- You must have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis based on a clinical examination and imaging (such as an X-ray).
- Your joint pain score must be 75 points or below when measured using a standard knee pain questionnaire called the KOOS (confirm with trial site).
- Your osteoarthritis must fall within a certain range of severity (grades 1, 2, or 3) as measured on a specific medical scale called the Ahlbäck scale (confirm with trial site).
- You must be considered suitable for receiving a PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injection directly into your joint.

- You must be able to attend follow-up appointments during the study period.
- You must be willing and able to sign a consent form agreeing to take part.
Who may not be able to join:
- Your BMI is above 35.
- You have been diagnosed with a condition affecting many joints throughout your body at the same time.
- You have had a keyhole surgery on the joint (arthroscopy) within the last year.
- You have a severe deformity of the joint.
- You have received a hyaluronic acid injection into the joint within the last 12 months.
- You have had a steroid or PRP injection into the joint within the last 6 months.
- You have a systemic autoimmune or inflammatory condition affecting your whole body, such as lupus or vasculitis (confirm with trial site).
- You have anaemia or another blood-related disorder.
- Your blood tests come back positive for syphilis, HIV, hepatitis B, or hepatitis C.
- You are currently taking medication that suppresses your immune system.
- You have diabetes that is not well managed or controlled.
- You are allergic to paracetamol (also known as acetaminophen).
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
