Who might be able to join this trial:

For Parts A and B (healthy volunteer sections):

• People aged between 18 and 50 years who are in good health
• People who are willing to provide written, signed consent before being selected
• People whose weight and height fall within a healthy range — specifically a BMI between 18.0 and 32.0, and a body weight between 50 kg and 115 kg
• People with a normal pulse rate and blood pressure

For Part C (treatment section):

• People with a confirmed diagnosis of AMD (age-related macular degeneration)
• People aged 50 years or older
• People who have adequate vision in the eye that will not be used as the study eye

Who may not be able to join:

For Parts A and B:

• People with a past or current history of heart, lung, digestive, liver, kidney, blood, nerve, mental health, or infectious conditions
• People with any notable abnormalities found during an eye examination
• People with a known history of drug allergies or allergic conditions that have been diagnosed and treated by a doctor
• People taking any medication, other than paracetamol or contraceptives
• People with a history or current problem with alcohol use
• People with a history or current problem with drug use
• People who test positive for hepatitis B, hepatitis C, or HIV
• People who have recently donated blood, had significant blood loss, or received a blood transfusion
• People who are currently breastfeeding
• People who are pregnant, at risk of becoming pregnant during the study, or who are unwilling to use highly effective contraception (this applies to both male and female participants)
• People who, in the investigator's judgment, may be unlikely to follow the study requirements, or who face barriers to participation such as language difficulties or cognitive challenges

For Part C:

• People whose eye condition is caused by something other than AMD
• People who have had previous surgery on the back of the eye (vitreoretinal surgery)
• People with other significant eye diseases that could interfere with the study
• People with seriously reduced kidney or liver function
• People currently taking immunosuppressive medications (drugs that lower the immune system's activity)
• People currently participating in another clinical trial or taking another investigational (not yet approved) medicine
• People with a history of severe drug allergies or a condition called drug hypersensitivity syndrome
• People who develop an unexplained illness during the screening period, or who have severe additional medical conditions that the investigator considers a safety concern
• People with severe heart disease
• People with certain heart rhythm abnormalities detected on an ECG, or a history of related risk factors (confirm with trial site)
• People who have had a stroke or a transient ischemic attack (sometimes called a "mini-stroke")
• People who have had a major surgical procedure (confirm with trial site for full details)
• People with a serious active infection, serious medical condition, or anything else that would prevent them from taking the study drug or following the study requirements
• People who have any condition that, in the investigator's judgment, would prevent them from completing the study
