Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have agreed to take part and signed a consent form
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You have been diagnosed with atherosclerotic vascular disease (a condition where arteries are narrowed or blocked by fatty deposits), which may include: a history of heart artery disease (such as a prior heart attack, a procedure to open blocked heart arteries, or scan results showing artery disease); leg or foot artery disease (such as a prior procedure to open blocked leg arteries, an amputation, or test results showing poor blood flow to the legs); neck artery disease (such as a prior procedure on the neck arteries or scan results showing narrowing); or artery disease affecting other areas of the body such as the aorta, gut, or kidney arteries
- Your LDL cholesterol level (often called "bad cholesterol") is above 70 mg/dL
Who may not be able to join:
- The doctor running the trial believes, for any reason, that taking part could be harmful to you or that you would be unlikely to be able to follow the study requirements for its full duration — for example, if you have a terminal diagnosis or advanced cancer
- You are currently having your cholesterol-lowering medication actively adjusted or changed
- You have had a heart attack or a procedure to open blocked arteries within the last 30 days
