Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 44 years old
- You were assigned female at birth
- You have been diagnosed with Crohn's Disease
- Your Crohn's Disease is currently stable and under control, without the use of steroid medications
- You experience painful periods (a condition you have reported yourself)
- Your menstrual cycles happen regularly, every 23 to 35 days
- You are using a reliable form of birth control or are not sexually active
Who may not be able to join:
- You have been diagnosed with any of the following: endometriosis, adenomyosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), fibroids or polyps in the uterus, chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, or any other medical condition affecting the pelvic area
- You have previously had pelvic surgery, including removal of the uterus (hysterectomy)
- You are currently pregnant
- You are planning to become pregnant during the study
- You have been taking an oral contraceptive pill for less than 3 months, have recently changed your dose or switched to a different pill in the last 3 months, or plan to do so during the trial
- You are taking hormone therapy (such as estrogen or progesterone) that is not part of a contraceptive
- You have a known allergy or medical reason not to take ibuprofen or acetaminophen (paracetamol)
- You are unable to complete online questionnaires, for example due to difficulty understanding them, or not having access to a smartphone or computer
- You are not able to speak and read English
