Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are between 40 and 80 years old (both ages included), and any gender may apply
• You have been diagnosed with COPD (a lung condition) according to the 2025 international COPD guidelines
• During a screening walking test, you are able to walk at least 150 metres but less than 600 metres in six minutes
• You are willing to sign a consent form, take part in study-related visits and tests, and keep track of any changes in how you feel

Who may not be able to join:

• You are a woman who is pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant within one year of using the study treatment, or you are a man whose partner is planning to become pregnant
• The study doctor believes your life expectancy is less than one year at the time of screening
• You have a current or past history of cancer, with some exceptions for certain cancers that have been in remission for more than five years and are considered less aggressive by the doctor (confirm with trial site)
• You had pneumonia (bacterial, fungal, or viral) within the four weeks before screening
• You have had more than four moderate or severe COPD flare-ups requiring hospitalisation in the year before screening
• You have had a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 infection within the four weeks before screening
• You have ever needed a breathing machine (invasive or non-invasive ventilation) at any point
• You currently have active tuberculosis, poorly controlled asthma, acute blood clot in the lungs, or severely high blood pressure in the lungs (above 70 mmHg on heart scan)
• You have had a serious non-lung illness in the six months before screening, such as a heart attack, severe heart failure, stroke, severe liver or kidney disease, or a serious diabetes emergency
• You have severe anaemia, or poorly controlled low white blood cell or platelet counts at the time of screening
• You have a history of suicidal thoughts, a psychiatric condition, or epilepsy
• You have severe malnutrition at the time of screening
• Your heart tracing (ECG) shows a serious abnormal heart rhythm, such as atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, or certain other irregular heartbeats
• You have taken part in another clinical trial or received a biological medicine treatment within the four weeks before screening
• You are a member of the research team, an employee of the study centre, or a close family member of any of those people
• The study doctor considers you unsuitable for any other reason that could increase your risk or affect the study results
