Who might be able to join this trial:
For the main study group (people with cerebral palsy):
- You have a confirmed diagnosis of cerebral palsy, supported by medical history and test results
- You are between 7 and 25 years old at the time of joining the study
- You score at least 70 on at least one measure of verbal or non-verbal thinking ability, to show you can understand and complete the tasks involved
For the comparison group (people without cerebral palsy):
- You are between 7 and 25 years old at the time of joining the study
- You score within the normal range on a standard non-verbal thinking test appropriate for your age
- You have age-appropriate school performance with no significant learning difficulties, confirmed by a parent or guardian
- You have no known neurological or psychiatric conditions, confirmed by a parent or guardian
- Your movement and coordination abilities score above a certain level on a standard physical assessment test
Who may not be able to join:
For the main study group (people with cerebral palsy):
- You have severe sensory problems (such as serious vision or hearing difficulties) that would make it hard to complete the study tasks
- You have a neurological or psychiatric condition alongside cerebral palsy that would prevent you from taking part (confirm with trial site)
For the comparison group (people without cerebral palsy):
- You have any known neurological or psychiatric conditions
- You have motor or movement difficulties that fall below a certain level on a standard physical assessment
