Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with a stroke and are in the chronic (long-term, stable) phase of recovery
- People who have normal cognitive (thinking and memory) function, as measured by a standard mental assessment score of 21 or above
- Both men and women may be included
- Adults between the ages of 18 and 65
- People whose muscle stiffness (spasticity) is rated at 2 or lower on a standard medical scale used to measure muscle tightness
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have an acute (sudden or recent) neurological condition, or other neurological or musculoskeletal conditions such as Parkinson's disease or multiple sclerosis
- People who do not agree to take part in the treatment
