Who might be able to join this trial:
- Children between the ages of 5 and 18 years old
- Children who have been diagnosed with asthma based on established medical guidelines for childhood asthma
- Children who are already attending regular outpatient appointments at Shanghai Children's Medical Center
- Children who are able to cooperate with having images taken of their tongue and having their pulse measured
- Children who are able to complete a breathing test when needed

- Children who have other long-term breathing conditions, such as cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, or a condition affecting the tiny hair-like structures in the airways (confirm with trial site)
- Children who were born with structural problems affecting the heart or lungs, or who have significant heart disease
- Children who have an active respiratory infection or fever at the time the study data is being collected
- Children who have serious ongoing health conditions or a weakened immune system that could affect their ability to take part
- Children who are unable to follow the study procedures, or whose medical records are incomplete
