Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 75 years old and have been diagnosed with acute pancreatitis
- You have a fluid collection near your pancreas (called a walled-off necrosis, or WON) that is causing symptoms and needs to be drained using an ultrasound-guided procedure through the digestive tract
- You are able and willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part
Who may not be able to join:
- The fluid collection in your abdomen is located too far from the wall of your digestive tract to be safely drained using the ultrasound-guided procedure (more than 1 cm away)
- You have been diagnosed with cancer or have a condition that weakens your immune system
- You have had previous surgery on the upper part of your digestive system that affects how things are absorbed
- You are currently experiencing active bleeding in your digestive tract
- You have a blockage in your digestive tract, a condition where your bowel has stopped working, or persistent vomiting
- You are too unwell to safely undergo an endoscopic (camera) procedure — for example, you are unconscious or on a breathing machine (confirm with trial site)
- Your blood does not clot properly — for example, your platelet count is too low or your blood-thinning levels are too high (confirm with trial site)
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
