For patients:

  • People with serious medical conditions that may affect memory or thinking (such as advanced kidney or liver failure, severe breathing disorders, untreated underactive thyroid, or vitamin B12 deficiency)
  • People with unstable, serious physical health conditions affecting major organs
  • People with significant hearing or vision problems, or difficulties with language
  • People who have taken part in a clinical trial involving anti-amyloid drugs or other experimental treatments for Alzheimer's disease in the past six months

For caregivers:

  • People with a serious active mental health condition (such as untreated severe depression, a psychotic disorder, or schizophrenia)
  • People who would have difficulty taking part in interviews or assessments due to language barriers, cognitive difficulties, or other personal limitations
