Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years old or older
- You have a good enough understanding of German to fill in questionnaires and take part in study activities
For the PROGRESS part of the study (patients only):
- You are able to give consent online using a coded (anonymous) sign-up process
- You have reported ongoing symptoms that you believe started after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine
- You are willing and able to take part in follow-up activities over 8 months
For the ENDOCLOT and REAL parts (patients):
- You have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine
- You developed new symptoms that have no other explanation within 14 days of a COVID-19 vaccination
- Those symptoms have continued for at least 6 months after vaccination
- You have been diagnosed with ME/CFS (a specific chronic illness) according to recognised medical criteria, including a symptom called post-exertional malaise (PEM) (confirm with trial site)
For the ENDOCLOT and REAL parts (healthy volunteers):
- You have had a COVID-19 vaccine but have not experienced any lasting side effects
- You are within 10 years of age and the same sex as a matched patient in the study
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a serious cognitive (thinking/memory), physical, or mental health condition that would make it difficult to participate
- You currently have an active cancer or are taking medication that suppresses the immune system
- You are known to be pregnant at the time of joining the study
- You have had a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 infection after vaccination, or around the time your symptoms started
- You already had Long COVID symptoms before or alongside your vaccine-related symptoms
- You had any infection — even a mild or symptom-free one — around the same time as your COVID-19 vaccination (confirm with trial site)
- You have a pre-existing medical condition or take ongoing medication that could reasonably explain your symptoms (for example, a previous diagnosis of ME/CFS, POTS, fibromyalgia, certain nerve conditions, autoimmune diseases, or similar long-term conditions)
- You regularly take high doses of anti-inflammatory medication long-term
