If you have a Spinal Cord Injury (SCI):

You are 18 years of age or older
You have been diagnosed with a spinal cord injury at a certain level of the upper spine (at or above the first thoracic vertebra, meaning anywhere from the neck region down to the upper back)
You are able to communicate on your own, with a communication aid, or through a legal representative
You are able to take part in a study session of around 3 hours, with breaks if needed

If you have ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis):

You are 18 years of age or older
You have been diagnosed with ALS
You are able to communicate on your own, with a communication aid, or through a legal representative
You are able to take part in a study session of around 3 hours, with breaks if needed

If you are a healthy volunteer:

You are 18 years of age or older
You have no history of neurological or psychiatric conditions
You are able to sign a written consent form
You are able to take part in a study session of around 3 hours, with breaks if needed

Who may not be able to join:

You are currently taking part in another clinical trial that could interfere with this study
(Healthy volunteers only) You have difficulties with thinking, vision, or hearing that could affect your ability to take part
(Healthy volunteers only) You have a current or past diagnosis or condition that could affect the study results (confirm with trial site)
