Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 45 years of age or older
- You have been diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis (wear-and-tear of the knee joint), either through a doctor's examination or an X-ray
- Your condition allows you to have an ultrasound scan performed on both knees
- You are able to sign a written consent form agreeing to take part in the study
- You are able to read and understand forms and questionnaires written in Turkish
Who may not be able to join:
- You have been diagnosed with an inflammatory joint condition such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, or a similar disease
- You have had an injection directly into your knee joint (such as a steroid, hyaluronic acid, or PRP injection) within the last 6 months
- You have previously had major knee surgery, such as a full knee replacement or major ligament reconstruction
- You have had an acute knee injury, fracture, or ligament damage within the last 6 weeks
- You have severe knee deformity or very limited knee movement that would make an ultrasound scan technically impossible
- You currently have an active infection or a condition causing a fever
- You have a neurological condition that causes weakness or loss of sensation in your legs
- You currently take gabapentinoids, SNRIs, or SSRIs (certain medications used for fibromyalgia or mental health conditions) (confirm with trial site)
- You have severe memory, thinking, or communication difficulties that would prevent you from taking part
- You are currently pregnant
- You have been told about the study and have chosen not to take part
