Who may be able to join

AI generated eligibility summary. Written by an AI model from the official source data and checked on a sample basis. It can contain mistakes, so confirm anything important against the original source. How we use AI

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Men aged 18 or older
  • People who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer confirmed through a tissue sample (biopsy)
  • People whose prostate cancer is contained within or close to the prostate, with no spread to nearby lymph nodes or other parts of the body, based on a specific type of scan called a PSMA PET scan
  • People whose cancer falls into certain risk categories (intermediate, high, or very high risk, as defined by NCCN guidelines — confirm with trial site if unsure which category applies)
  • People whose overall physical health and daily functioning falls within an acceptable range for the trial (confirm with trial site)
  • People who are medically suitable to receive a full course of radiation therapy aimed at curing the cancer
  • People who are able to undergo specific radiation treatment techniques, including external beam radiotherapy combined with brachytherapy or a treatment called SBRT
  • People who have a recorded PSA blood test result taken before joining the trial
  • People who may also receive hormone therapy (ADT) as part of their treatment, depending on their risk group
  • People who are willing and able to give written informed consent

Who may not be able to join:

  • People whose cancer has already spread to nearby pelvic lymph nodes or to other parts of the body, based on baseline scans
  • People who have already had a major treatment for prostate cancer, such as surgical removal of the prostate, brachytherapy, or a full course of radiation therapy to the prostate
  • People who have previously had radiation therapy to the pelvic area for any type of cancer
  • People who have previously received systemic (whole-body) drug treatments for prostate cancer, other than hormone therapy that is specifically allowed under the trial rules
  • People who currently have another active cancer that requires systemic (whole-body) treatment (a history of common skin cancers that have been adequately treated may not be a barrier — confirm with trial site)
  • People who have medical reasons that make radiation therapy or the anaesthesia required for brachytherapy unsafe for them
  • People with serious uncontrolled health conditions that would prevent them from safely completing the trial treatment
  • People who are unable to follow the study procedures or attend the required follow-up appointments
