Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older, or children and teenagers aged 7 to 17, who have received a single or double lung transplant
- People who have been diagnosed with a lung transplant complication called CLAD (at any stage) and have been prescribed a treatment called ECP therapy
- People who are able to give their agreement to take part (for children, a parent or guardian would also need to give consent)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have previously received ECP treatment
- People who have been given certain immune-suppressing medications — specifically one called anti-thymocyte globulin within the past 3 months, or one called alemtuzumab within the past 12 months before starting ECP
- People in the MRI part of the trial who have reasons they cannot have an MRI scan, such as certain metal implants in the body, severe claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces), or a seizure disorder
- People who have a known allergy to a contrast dye called gadolinium, or who have significantly reduced kidney function (confirm with trial site)
- People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
