Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are male and between 18 and 49 years old at the time of enrolling in the trial.
- You have a certain level of male pattern hair loss, rated between "III vertex" and "V" on a standard hair loss scale (confirm with trial site).
- Your body weight falls within a healthy-to-moderate range for your height (BMI between 19 and 35).
- You have not used any treatment for male pattern hair loss — either taken by mouth or applied to the scalp — in the past 90 days.
- You are willing to avoid other hair loss treatments, hair dyes, texturizers, new vitamins or supplements, tattoos on the treatment area, blood donations, over-the-counter hair regrowth products, and other clinical trials for the whole time you are in this trial.
- You are willing to make sure your pregnant partner does not come into contact with your hands or skin where the trial treatment may be present.
- You are able to continue using any vitamins or supplements you are already currently taking, and you may use regular or anti-dandruff shampoos and styling products (though not on days you visit the clinic).
- You are willing and able to sign a consent form and follow all trial requirements.
- You own and know how to use a smartphone (Android or iPhone) with internet access, and you have a personal email address.
Who may not be able to join:
- You have had a hair transplant, hair extension surgery, hair weaving, or any other surgical treatment for hair loss.
- You have had laser or light therapy on your scalp in the last 6 months.
- You have had micro-needling, mesotherapy, or platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment on your scalp in the last 6 months.
- You currently shave your scalp or wear a non-breathable wig or hair extensions.
- You have a known or suspected allergy to any of the trial medications, or a history of severe allergic reactions that the trial doctor thinks could affect the results.
- You have any significant health condition that could cause hair loss or make it harder to understand the trial results.
- You have a history of using certain specific medicines listed by the trial (confirm with trial site for the full list).
- You have been diagnosed with certain specific medical conditions listed by the trial (confirm with trial site for the full list).
- You have taken part in another clinical drug or device trial in the last 90 days.
- The trial doctor feels for any other reason that you are not suitable for the trial.
