Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Adolescents between the ages of 13 and 19 years old
  • People who have been diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa or Atypical Anorexia Nervosa, confirmed by a child and adolescent psychiatrist using recognised diagnostic guidelines (DSM-5-TR or ICD-11)
  • People who are currently receiving care through an Eating Disorder outpatient service
  • People who are fluent in Portuguese

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who are currently experiencing serious thoughts or urges to end their life that require immediate clinical attention
  • People whose physical or mental health is deteriorating to the point where hospital admission may be needed very soon
  • People who currently have a diagnosis of a psychotic disorder, bipolar disorder, or a serious dependence on substances such as alcohol or drugs
  • People who have any other health condition that their treating doctor considers would make taking part in a video call-based programme unsuitable (confirm with trial site)
