Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with advanced or spread (metastatic) breast cancer that is HER2-negative, whether the cancer was metastatic from the start or spread after an earlier stage.
- People whose treating doctor has planned for them to receive a type of targeted drug treatment called an anti-TROP2 antibody-drug conjugate (such as sacituzumab govitecan or datopotamab deruxtecan) as part of their regular cancer care.
- People who are able to undergo two specific types of body scans during the study — one using a tracer called ⁶⁸Ga-TROP2 and one using a tracer called ¹⁸F-FDG, both as part of a PET/CT scan — at the start of the study and possibly again later.
- People aged 18 or older who are able to give informed consent and follow the study procedures.
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose medical records are incomplete or who are unable to complete the required scans.
- People who have previously received an anti-TROP2 antibody-drug conjugate treatment.
- People who have a known medical reason why they cannot have a PET/CT scan, or who have a known allergy to either of the scan tracers (⁶⁸Ga-TROP2 or ¹⁸F-FDG) or their ingredients.
- People who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding.
- People who have another active cancer (a separate cancer diagnosis), as determined by the study doctor.
