Who might be able to join this trial:

• People with a larger tumour (T3) and a small breast size, or those with a T4 tumour (one that has grown into the chest wall or skin)
• People who are not willing to have the type of surgery that preserves most of the breast
• People whose mammogram shows a widespread scattering of tiny calcium deposits throughout the breast tissue
• People diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (an early, non-invasive form of breast cancer)
• Men with breast cancer
• People whose cancer is found in more than one separate area of the breast
• People whose tumour is located in a position that makes breast-preserving surgery not possible
• People whose breast cancer has come back after previous treatment
