Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 18 and 90 years old
- People who have been diagnosed with a specific type of cancer at the junction where the oesophagus meets the stomach (called a gastroesophageal junction cancer, Siewert type II or III), confirmed through a tissue sample analysis
- People whose case has been reviewed by a team of specialists who have agreed that surgery is a suitable option

- People whose cancer is at an early stage
- People whose stomach cancer is located in a different part of the stomach (the antrum or corpus, rather than the junction with the oesophagus)
- People considered to have a very high risk from anaesthesia, classified as ASA class IV or above by an anaesthesiologist (confirm with trial site)
- People who are pregnant
- People who are unwilling or unable to provide written informed consent
