Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 40 and 65 years old
- People who have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both knees, according to a specific classification system used by rheumatology specialists, for at least 1 year
- People whose knee osteoarthritis has been graded as a 2 or 3 on the Kellgren & Lawrence scale, which measures the severity of joint damage (confirm with trial site)
- People who are able to walk on their own without any walking aids
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are currently and actively taking part in gym-based exercise, swimming, or any other regular physical activity program
- People who have received a corticosteroid injection directly into a knee joint within the last 3 months, or a hyaluronic acid injection into a knee within the last 6 months
- People with a history of injury or surgery to either leg, a current fracture or leg deformity, or who have surgery planned during the study period
- People who have been diagnosed with a serious heart, lung, neurological, or psychological condition
- People who have a fear of water, feel uncomfortable performing exercises in water, or have an allergy or sensitivity to chlorine or other chemicals used in swimming pools
