Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You must be 18 years old or older
  • If you have Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS): you must have been officially diagnosed with ME/CFS using a specific set of medical guidelines called the International Consensus Criteria (ICC) from 2011
  • If you have a heart condition: you must have been referred for an exercise test in a cardiology (heart) department for reasons such as palpitations, high blood pressure, shortness of breath during activity, chest pain, or coronary artery disease, AND you must have been experiencing moderate to severe tiredness (rated more than 3 out of 10) in the last 8 days, AND you must not have a diagnosis of ME/CFS
  • You must be able to use a computer or digital device to fill in online questionnaires
  • You must be willing and able to give written consent to take part

Who may not be able to join:

  • Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • People who are currently imprisoned or detained by a court or official authority
  • People who are under a legal guardianship order or who are unable to give their own consent to participate
