Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are between 18 and 75 years old at the time of joining the trial
- People who have experienced asthma-like symptoms — such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, or coughing — for at least 2 months before joining, whether or not they have been formally diagnosed with asthma
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have had a respiratory infection in the 3 months before joining, including pneumonia, bronchitis, flu, or COVID-19
- People who currently smoke, stopped smoking less than 6 months ago, or stopped more than 6 months ago but smoked more than 10 packs per year during their lifetime
- People with a history of other long-term lung conditions besides asthma, such as tuberculosis, significant bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease, or lung cancer
- People with serious ongoing health conditions affecting the heart, gut, liver, kidneys, nerves, muscles, hormones, blood, or mental health that the trial doctor considers unstable or likely to interfere with the study
- People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a positive pregnancy test, or are planning to become pregnant within 3 months
- People who have used inhaled corticosteroid-based medications (including certain combination inhalers) within the 3 months before joining (confirm with trial site for specific medication names)
- People the trial doctor believes are unlikely to follow the study procedures or requirements
- People who are currently taking part in another interventional clinical trial
