Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been confirmed through a tissue sample (biopsy) to have prostate cancer, either the common gland-cell type (adenocarcinoma) or a less common type involving nerve-like cells (neuroendocrine differentiated prostate cancer).
- People whose testosterone has been reduced to very low levels (≤ 50 ng/dL) through surgery or ongoing medication.
- People whose PSA (a prostate cancer marker measured in blood) was at least 1 ng/mL at the time of the screening test.
- People whose cancer showed signs of getting worse within the 6 months before screening.
- Part A participants: People who have already received at least 2 approved treatments for prostate cancer, including at least one hormone-blocking therapy (androgen receptor pathway inhibitor) and at least one chemotherapy treatment from the taxane drug family, where those treatments were suitable options.
- Part B participants: People who have previously received a hormone-blocking therapy (androgen receptor pathway inhibitor) for prostate cancer that had spread — either when it still responded to hormone therapy or after it stopped responding. Prior taxane chemotherapy for castration-resistant prostate cancer is not permitted for Module 1 and 2 Part B participants (confirm with trial site).
- People whose liver, kidneys, and other organs are functioning well enough as determined by blood tests.
- People who weigh at least 35 kg.
Who may not be able to join:
- People with significant heart problems, such as a specific abnormal heart rhythm pattern (QT prolongation) or irregular heartbeats that are not well controlled.
- People who still have side effects from previous cancer treatments that are worse than a mild-to-moderate level (above Grade 2).
- People who have had a severe reaction called cytokine release syndrome (Grade 3 or higher) or a moderate-to-severe brain or nervous system reaction (Grade 2 or higher) from a previous treatment.
- People who have or have had an autoimmune or inflammatory condition (where the immune system attacks the body) within the past 3 years.
- People who have previously received any treatment specifically targeting a protein called STEAP2, or a type of therapy known as a T-cell engager (TCE), for prostate cancer.
