- People for whom regular long-term follow-up over 3 years would not be possible due to significant psychological, social, or geographic reasons
- People who have had major prior surgery in the pelvic area that would make a keyhole (laparoscopic) preventive surgery on the ovaries or fallopian tubes not feasible
