Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are 18 years old or older (any gender)
  • You have been diagnosed with a specific type of hair loss called androgenetic alopecia (pattern baldness), at a moderate stage — rated III to V on the male scale, or I to II on the female scale
  • You are able to read and write well enough to fill in study questionnaires
  • You are willing to keep your hair color and hairstyle the same throughout the whole study
  • You have at least 2 cm of hair length in the non-balding area around the top of your head at each visit
  • You are able to attend all scheduled appointments over the 24-week (roughly 6-month) study period

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have an unstable or poorly controlled ongoing health condition that could affect hair growth, such as liver, kidney, thyroid, heart, or nerve problems, diabetes, or anemia, in the past 6 months
  • You have had cancer in the past 5 years (except for certain common skin cancers that have been fully treated)
  • You have a mental health condition or other issue that could affect your safety or ability to follow the study rules
  • You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Your hair thinning affects the back lower part of your scalp (the occipital area)
  • You have a scalp condition such as a fungal infection, psoriasis, uncontrolled dandruff, or a type of hair loss other than pattern baldness
  • You have ever had a hair transplant, or have worn hair extensions in the past 6 months
  • You have used any cosmetic products designed to hide hair loss in the past 2 weeks
  • You have had light or laser treatment on your scalp in the past 3 months
  • You have taken supplements linked to hair growth (such as zinc or biotin) in the past 3 months
  • You have used hair products with active ingredients like caffeine or peptides in the past 3 months
  • You have had scalp injection procedures such as mesotherapy or stem cell injections in the past 3 months
  • You have a known allergy or sensitivity to any of the study products or their ingredients
  • You have used a medication called dutasteride in the past 12 months
  • You are currently using chemotherapy-type (cytotoxic) medicines
  • You have used steroid tablets or injections in the past 3 months (steroid inhalers or creams not applied to the scalp may be acceptable — confirm with trial site)
  • You have used any of the following in the past 6 months: minoxidil, finasteride, anti-androgen medications (such as spironolactone or similar), certain hormone preparations applied to the scalp, tamoxifen, or medicines known to cause excess hair growth or hair loss (confirm specific medications with trial site)
  • You have taken part in another clinical trial in the past month, or are currently in another trial
