Who might be able to join this trial:

• People aged 18 to 85 years old
• People who have had a full surgical removal of the breast (radical mastectomy) and need follow-up chemotherapy using a combination of two drugs called docetaxel and cyclophosphamide
• People who are generally able to carry out daily activities, rated on a standard scale from 0 (fully active) to 2 (up and about more than half of the day) — (confirm with trial site)
• People whose blood counts are within an acceptable range, including platelets, white blood cells, and a type of white blood cell called neutrophils

• People with no fluid build-up in the abdomen, no blockage in the digestive system, normal blood clotting, and a blood protein (albumin) level of at least 30g/L
• People whose liver is functioning well enough to be rated "Grade A" on a standard liver health scoring system called Child-Pugh
• People whose kidneys are working well, based on a blood test for creatinine or a calculated measure of how well the kidneys filter waste — (confirm with trial site)

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have inflammation or infection in or around the outer ear
• People who have a tendency to bleed easily or have blood clotting problems
• People with severe fluid build-up in the abdomen
• People with a blockage in the digestive system
• People experiencing a severe spike in blood pressure or blood pressure affecting the brain
• People with serious uncontrolled health conditions such as active infection or uncontrolled diabetes
• People who have had a stroke or heart attack in the six months before joining, or who have poorly controlled high blood pressure, unstable chest pain, heart failure, or a heart rhythm problem requiring medication
• People with central nervous system conditions such as a primary brain tumour, epilepsy not controlled by standard treatment, any history of cancer spreading to the brain, or a history of stroke
• People who have had a serious allergic reaction to any of the drugs used in this trial
• People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
• People with other diseases, complications from cancer spread, or concerning findings on physical examination that may make the study drugs unsafe for them
• People who are unable or unwilling to follow the requirements of the trial
