Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who are registered in the Shanghai Mental Health Information Management System and are currently admitted to a designated district-level mental health centre ward
  • People who have been diagnosed with schizophrenia according to the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) diagnostic standards
  • People aged between 18 and 45 years old
  • People who are able to manage their own daily self-care
  • People whose condition has been clinically stable (no sudden worsening) for at least 1 week before joining, and whose medication doses have remained unchanged for at least 1 week
  • People who have no disabilities affecting their hands and are able to use a mobile phone or tablet normally
  • People who have completed at least primary school education
  • People who have normal vision and hearing, or whose vision and hearing are within the normal range when using aids such as glasses or hearing devices
  • People who own and are able to independently use a smartphone or other electronic device
  • People whose family members and themselves have agreed to take part, are willing to cooperate with the study activities, and have signed a consent form

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who will not be living in Shanghai after they are discharged from hospital
  • People who have a serious physical illness or a disease affecting the brain or its structure
  • People who have been diagnosed with another psychotic disorder in addition to schizophrenia
