Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults between 18 and 75 years of age (inclusive)
- People whose general health and ability to carry out daily activities meets a standard level (rated 0 or 1 on a scale used by doctors to measure this)
- People with a life expectancy of at least 3 months
- People who have breast cancer that cannot be removed by surgery, or that has spread to other parts of the body
- People who have had, or are planning to have, a needle biopsy of a tumour site before starting a new treatment, and who are willing to provide tumour tissue and blood samples
- People who have at least one tumour that can be measured on a scan, or who have cancer that has spread only to the bones
- People whose blood counts, clotting, liver, kidney, and heart function all meet certain minimum levels before starting the trial (the trial site will check these through blood tests and other assessments)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have received radiotherapy, chemotherapy, certain herbal anti-cancer medicines, or some local tumour treatments within the 2 weeks before joining
- People who still have side effects from previous cancer treatment that have not settled down to a mild level (with some exceptions that the trial doctor may consider acceptable)
- People who have had another type of cancer in the past 5 years, except for certain fully treated skin cancers or cervical pre-cancers
- People who have uncontrolled or serious health conditions, including active infections that require antibiotic treatment
- People with a history of serious heart or stroke-related conditions, including certain heart rhythm problems, significant heart failure, a heart attack, stroke, or similar events within the past 6 months, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or other factors that may affect heart rhythm in a risky way
- People with a history of immune system deficiency diseases, or who have had an organ transplant or bone marrow/stem cell transplant
- People with HIV, or with active hepatitis B or hepatitis C infection (certain people with hepatitis B or C markers may still be considered if specific conditions are met — confirm with trial site)
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or who test positive for pregnancy within 7 days before starting the trial
- People with a known psychiatric or mental health condition that may affect their ability to follow the study requirements
- People whom the trial doctor considers unsuitable for any other reason
