Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have given their written informed consent to participate
- Adults aged 18 to 75 years old
- People who have been diagnosed with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (a specific type of cancer of the food pipe) confirmed by a tissue test

- People who have another separate cancer developing elsewhere in the body at the same time
- People with seriously reduced heart, liver, or kidney function, as measured by specific blood and clinical tests (confirm with trial site for exact values)
- People who have a history of autoimmune disease and were taking immune-suppressing medication above a certain dose or for more than two weeks before enrolling
- People with a known severe allergic reaction to immunotherapy medicines
- People with abnormal blood clotting, a tendency to bleed, or who are currently receiving blood-thinning or clot-dissolving treatment (confirm with trial site for exact values)
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who the trial investigators assess as unsuitable for other reasons
