Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 50 and 90 years old.
- You are any gender.
- You have been diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or early-stage Alzheimer's disease.
- Your scores on standard memory and thinking tests fall within a specific range, showing mild but not severe impairment (confirm with trial site).
- A test (either a brain scan or spinal fluid test) has confirmed the presence of amyloid protein, which is linked to Alzheimer's disease.
- You have a trusted caregiver who can come with you to appointments and help make sure you take the study medication correctly.

Who may not be able to join:
- Your memory or thinking problems are caused by something other than Alzheimer's disease.
- You have had a mini-stroke, stroke, brain bleed, or epileptic seizure in the past 12 months.
- You have significant depression (based on a standard test), any thoughts of suicide in the past 6 months or at the start of the study, or other mental health conditions such as hallucinations, severe anxiety, or delusions.
- You have a bleeding disorder, are taking blood-thinning medication, have cancer, or have a serious disease affecting your stomach, kidneys, liver, lungs, immune system, hormones, or heart.
- You have had an allergic reaction to lecanemab or similar medications (monoclonal antibody treatments).
- You cannot have an MRI scan, for example because you have a pacemaker or certain metal implants in your body.
- You have had a known problem with drug or alcohol misuse within the past two years.
- You have taken part in a clinical trial for an Alzheimer's treatment drug within the past 6 months (unless you can show you were only given a placebo/dummy treatment).
- You are planning to have surgery under general anaesthetic during the study period.
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a positive pregnancy test at the start of the study (applies to women).
