Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Adults who have been diagnosed with hormone receptor-positive (HR+) early breast cancer

  • People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
  • People who have taken antibiotic treatment for an active infection within the 2 weeks before starting the study
  • People with serious pre-existing health conditions, including severely reduced kidney function, lung disease affecting the lung tissue, severe breathlessness at rest or a need for oxygen, a history of major stomach or small bowel surgery, or ongoing bowel conditions such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis that cause significant diarrhoea
  • People with a history of certain heart conditions, including fainting caused by a heart problem, dangerous irregular heart rhythms, or sudden cardiac arrest (note: people with well-controlled atrial fibrillation that has been stable for at least 30 days may still be considered eligible — confirm with trial site)
  • People who are unwilling or unable to give written consent to participate
  • People who are unwilling to avoid taking other probiotic or prebiotic supplements from the start of the study through to its completion
