Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have been diagnosed with an ischemic stroke (caused by a blocked blood vessel) or intracerebral hemorrhage (bleeding in the brain).
• People who are older than 18 years of age.
• People whose stroke occurred less than 7 days before entering the study.
• People who have reduced movement or function in their right or left arm as a result of their stroke.
• People who, after leaving hospital, are continuing an intensive conventional rehabilitation program at the MUTUAM referral rehabilitation centre.
• People who are able to understand and sign both the study consent form and the IDIBGI Biobank consent form.

Who may not be able to join:

• People who had arm or hand problems before their stroke, whether caused by a neurological condition or another physical reason.
• People who had dementia before the stroke, or who have any condition where life expectancy is less than one year.
• People who have difficulty understanding spoken or written language.
• People who have difficulty remembering instructions for exercises.
• People who have a history of epileptic seizures triggered by flashing or flickering lights (photosensitive epilepsy).
