Who may be able to join
- People with small cell lung cancer (a type of lung cancer) that has been confirmed by a tissue or cell sample, is being treated for the first time, and has spread widely through the body.
- People whose doctor determines they are able to receive a specific type of chemotherapy (platinum-based) combined with an immune therapy drug that targets a protein called PD-L1.
- People who have at least one area of cancer in the body that is large enough to be measured using standard imaging guidelines (called RECIST v1.1).
- People with a general health and activity level rated as 0 or 1 on a standard medical scale, meaning they are either fully active or have only minor limitations in physical activity.
- People with sufficiently healthy organ function (confirm with trial site for specific requirements).
Who may not be able to join
Each point below is a reason the trial team may not be able to accept someone. It is not a list of requirements to meet.
- People who received platinum-based or etoposide treatment for an earlier, less advanced stage of small cell lung cancer within the 6 months before enrolling in the trial.
- People who have previously received a specific type of targeted therapy drug called a topoisomerase inhibitor-based ADC.
- People with a history of serious heart disease.
- People who currently have an active autoimmune or inflammatory disease (conditions where the immune system attacks the body).
- People who have had another cancer in the past or currently have one, unless it was a specific type of skin cancer or a contained cancer that was fully removed, or another cancer that was treated with the intent to cure and has been free of disease for at least 3 years.
- There may be additional criteria not listed here that the trial site will assess (confirm with trial site).
