If you have Crohn's disease (Cases):
- You are between 18 and 80 years old
- You have a confirmed diagnosis of Crohn's disease
- You are able to give your consent to take part in the trial
If you are joining as a comparison participant (Controls):
- You are between 18 and 80 years old
- You have not had a major surgery to remove part of your large bowel
- You are able to give your consent to take part in the trial

If you have Crohn's disease (Cases):
- You have taken antibiotics or probiotics in the last 4 weeks
- You have a history of cancer in your digestive system
- You have a stoma (an opening on your abdomen connected to your digestive system)
- You are currently pregnant
- You have a serious, life-limiting illness such as advanced cancer, severe kidney failure, or severe liver failure
If you are joining as a comparison participant (Controls):
- You are currently pregnant
- You have a serious, life-limiting illness such as advanced cancer, severe kidney failure, or severe liver failure
- You are unable to give your consent to take part in the trial
