Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 35 and 70 years old
- People who are able to understand and agree to take part in the trial (give informed consent)
- People who, if they have another cancer, are expected to live more than 5 years
- People who carry a known gene change (mutation) linked to prostate cancer, such as BRCA1, BRCA2, Lynch syndrome, or p53
- People who carry a mutation in a gene suspected to be linked to prostate cancer, such as ATM, PALB2, CHEK2, RAD51D, ATR, NBN, GEN1, RAD51C, MRE11A, BRIP1, FAM175A, or HOXB13
- People who are considered definite carriers of one of the above mutations because a close female relative (such as a sister or daughter) has a confirmed mutation
- Men who have any family member with one of the above gene mutations
- People with a family history of breast, prostate, or ovarian cancer in at least 2 relatives, or in 1 relative who was diagnosed before the age of 50
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are unable to produce any urine (a condition called anuria)
- People who have already been diagnosed with or treated for prostate cancer
- People who are not able or willing to provide informed consent
- People with a life expectancy of less than 5 years
