Who might be able to join this trial:
- Men and women between the ages of 40 and 70 years old
- People who have been diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis rated as Grade I, II, or III on a standard medical scale (called the Kellgren-Lawrence classification)
- People who have had ongoing knee pain lasting 3 months or longer
- People who are able to walk on their own without assistance
Who may not be able to join:
- People with the most severe stage of knee osteoarthritis (Grade IV on the Kellgren-Lawrence scale)
- People who have had previous surgery on the knee or have had a knee joint replacement
- People who have rheumatoid arthritis or any other condition where the joints are affected by inflammation
- People who have received an injection directly into a joint within the last 6 months
- People living with a serious ongoing illness affecting the whole body
- People who have a neurological condition (a condition affecting the brain, spinal cord, or nerves)
- People who have a vestibular disorder (a condition affecting balance, usually related to the inner ear)
