Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People aged 50 years or older
  • People whose study eye has been confirmed, through specific eye imaging tests, to have an active abnormal blood vessel growth beneath the central part of the retina, caused by wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD)
  • People whose study eye has been confirmed, through a specific imaging test, to have no active abnormal "polyp-like" lesions (a related but distinct eye condition)
  • People whose study eye has less than 50% of the affected area covered by scar tissue

  • People whose study eye has an affected area smaller than 12 times the size of the optic disc (a specific measurement used in eye imaging) (confirm with trial site)
  • People who have received a full explanation of the trial and have signed a written consent form

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have previously received treatments for wet AMD in the study eye, such as photodynamic therapy or laser treatment (vitamin and supplement use is not a barrier)

  • People whose study eye has scar tissue or fibrosis covering 50% or more of the affected area
  • People whose study eye has had bleeding inside the eye within one month before the screening visit
  • People whose study eye has an eye pressure of 25 mmHg or higher, including those with glaucoma where eye pressure remains at that level despite treatment
  • People whose study eye has a total affected area greater than 12 optic-disc areas, as measured by a specific eye imaging test (confirm with trial site)
