Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People aged 18 or older
  • People brought to the emergency department with signs of a possible stroke, identified by ambulance paramedics as a stroke alert

  • People found to have a metal fragment in or near the eye, or a metal clip or device inside the skull, identified on their initial CT scan
  • People who are pregnant
  • People with another immediately life-threatening or severely disabling condition that requires urgent treatment and would prevent participation in the study
  • People whose involvement in the study would cause delays that could interfere with time-sensitive stroke treatments, such as clot-dissolving medication or a procedure to remove a clot from a blood vessel
