Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have previously been diagnosed with COPD or chronic interstitial lung disease
- People who have been prescribed supplemental oxygen for use during physical activity for at least 1 month before joining the trial
- People aged 25 years or older
- People whose symptoms and oxygen needs have been stable for at least 2 weeks
- People who agree to use compressed gas tanks to receive oxygen during the 2-week study period
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are currently experiencing active chest pain (angina)
- People with a bone, joint, or muscle condition that prevents them from doing physical activity
- People who need supplemental oxygen even while resting (not just during activity)
- People who require more than 10 litres per minute of continuous oxygen flow during physical activity, as measured during a screening assessment
- People who have been prescribed 10 litres per minute or more of continuous oxygen flow by their doctor
