Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis based on American College of Rheumatology (ACR) standards

- People who have been diagnosed with diabetes
- People who are currently taking steroid medications that affect the whole body (such as prednisone or cortisone tablets)
- People who have painful osteoarthritis in other major joints, such as the hip, hand, ankle, or spine
- People who have an active infection anywhere in the body, which may include fever, cough, diarrhoea, painful urination, or abnormal blood test results showing signs of infection
