Who might be able to join this trial:

• People aged between 45 and 70 years old
• Both men and women are eligible
• People who have previously been diagnosed with their first-ever stroke, whether caused by a blocked blood vessel or bleeding in the brain
• People whose stroke occurred at least 3 months ago
• People with mild to moderate difficulty using their upper limb, meaning a screening questionnaire shows that fewer than half of everyday hand and arm tasks are rated as "impossible"
• People who can carry out basic daily activities with moderate independence, as measured by a standard assessment tool called the Barthel Index (score of 60 or above)
• People who are able to understand and follow instructions, as confirmed by a short memory and thinking test (score above 24 on the MMSE or a similar assessment)

Who may not be able to join:

• People with severe muscle stiffness in their limbs, or fixed tightening of muscles and joints (confirm with trial site)
• People who have been diagnosed with another neurological condition such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, or dementia
• People with unstable diabetes or high blood pressure that may interfere with taking part in the trial
• People who have taken part in any structured arm rehabilitation program or experimental therapy in the 3 months before the trial
