Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are male or female
- People aged between 18 and 80 years old
- People with a body mass index (a measure of body weight relative to height) of 35 or below
- For people with high blood pressure: those whose blood pressure reads 140/90 or higher, or who are already taking medication to treat high blood pressure
- For people with chronic kidney disease (CKD): those whose condition meets the definition set out by the Kidney Diseases Quality Initiative guidelines (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are under the legal age of consent, or who are mentally or legally unable to make their own decisions
- People who have donated 450ml of blood in the past four weeks
- People with a past or present history of drug or alcohol misuse, including any history of intravenous (injected) drug use
- People who have taken part in another clinical trial within the past month
- People considered to be at high risk of HIV or hepatitis B infection
- People who have a known eye disease, have had previous eye surgery, or have a significant prescription for glasses or contact lenses (stronger than plus or minus 6 dioptres)
