Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have had colorectal cancer (a cancer of the large bowel or rectum) confirmed by a biopsy taken during normal medical care
- People who have been diagnosed with colorectal cancer that has come back in the pelvic area (the lower part of the abdomen)
- People who have already had surgery to remove a primary cancer of the colon, sigmoid colon (the lower part of the large bowel), or rectum
- People who are able to have a high-detail MRI scan to help plan treatment
- People who have given written consent to take part in the study
- People aged 16 years or older
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose cancer has spread outside the pelvis to areas that cannot be removed by surgery
- People for whom the original staging scans (MRI or CT scans taken before and after initial treatment) are no longer available
- People whose records of their original surgery, pre-surgery treatment, or any additional treatment after surgery are incomplete or unavailable
