Who might be able to join this trial:

For pancreatic cancer patients:

• You have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that has been confirmed by a tissue sample (biopsy)
• Your cancer has not spread to distant parts of the body, but is either too complex to remove with surgery right away ("locally advanced") or is in a position that makes surgery difficult but possibly doable ("borderline resectable") — based on scans showing how the tumor relates to nearby blood vessels
• You are generally able to carry out daily activities with little or no limitation (confirm with trial site what this means for you)
• If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you must agree to use effective birth control and not breastfeed during the trial
• Your doctor has recommended chemotherapy as part of your treatment for pancreatic cancer
• You are willing to sign the trial consent form

For liver or bile duct cancer patients:

• You have been diagnosed with either liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) or bile duct cancer within the liver (intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma), confirmed by a tissue sample or, in some cases, by specific scan findings
• You may have one tumor or several tumors in the liver
• You are generally able to carry out daily activities with little or no limitation (confirm with trial site what this means for you)
• If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you must agree to use effective birth control during the trial
• You may have previously had surgery, chemotherapy, certain targeted treatments to the liver, or tumour burning (ablation) procedures
• You are either about to receive radiation therapy as your main treatment, or you have already received it within the last two years and have the relevant scans from before and after that treatment
• You are willing to sign the trial consent form

Who may not be able to join:

• Your cancer has spread to distant parts of the body (metastasis)
• Your tumor is considered fully removable by surgery without any complications
• You have unstable chest pain (angina) or moderate-to-severe heart failure
• You currently have a fever or an active infection (note: long-term infections like hepatitis are generally still acceptable)
• You have another health condition that would prevent you from safely receiving chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or a CT scan using contrast dye
• You are pregnant (confirmed by a positive pregnancy test)
• You are unable or unwilling to follow the study procedures and required follow-up visits
• You currently have another active cancer, unless it is a common type of non-serious skin cancer
