Who may be able to join

"Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must have been diagnosed with a specific advanced form of lung cancer called Stage IV non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
  • Your lung cancer must not have certain specific gene changes (known as EGFR mutation or ALK rearrangement) based on test results.
  • You must not have had any chemotherapy or other cancer-fighting medicines for your lung cancer that has spread or come back.
  • You must be fairly well and active in daily life, rated as 0 or 1 on a standard health scale used by doctors (meaning you are either fully active or able to do light activities).

Who may not be able to join:

  • People whose lung cancer is a mixed type combining small-cell lung cancer with non-small cell lung cancer, or a specific rare type called sarcomatoid (confirm with trial site).
  • People who have cancer that has spread to the brain or spine, unless it has already been treated, is stable, and does not require steroid medication.
  • People who have previously received certain types of cancer immunotherapy treatments that target the immune system (such as anti-CTLA-4, anti-PD-1, anti-PD-L1, or anti-PD-L2 medicines), though cancer vaccines are not included in this restriction.
  • People who have or have previously had conditions where the immune system attacks the body, such as inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn's disease, or colitis.
