Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You have been diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer or liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) that has not spread far beyond its original location, and your doctors are considering treating it with a combination of chemotherapy and radiation, a longer course of radiation, or a focused type of radiation called SBRT, whether to try to cure the cancer or to manage symptoms, with a plan of 5 or more radiation sessions

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have metal implants in your body that are magnetic (such as certain joint replacements or surgical implants) that would make an MRI scan unsafe
  • You have a pacemaker or an implanted defibrillator (a device that regulates your heartbeat)
  • You experience severe anxiety in enclosed spaces (claustrophobia), which would make it difficult to have an MRI scan
