Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have received a hand transplant (from a donor) on one side of the body, at or near the wrist, and are at an advanced stage of recovery — roughly 12 to 18 months after surgery, when nerve regrowth has reached the fingertips
- People who had a complete amputation of the hand between the wrist and elbow that was successfully reattached, and are at an advanced stage of recovery — roughly 12 to 18 months after surgery, when nerve regrowth has reached the fingertips
- People who have had nerve repair surgery (to the median, ulnar, or nearby nerves) following a serious cut or injury to the inner forearm, and are at an advanced stage of recovery — roughly 12 to 18 months after surgery, when nerve regrowth has reached the fingertips
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have had a significant or severe brain injury
- People with serious mental health conditions
- People with chronic or severe neurological conditions (conditions affecting the brain or nerves)
- People who are currently pregnant
- People with a history of seizures or unexplained loss of consciousness
- People who have metal implants located above the chest
- People who have certain types of implanted medical devices (confirm with trial site for specific details)
